At Open Arms Living LLC, we provide Individual Residential Services and Supports (IRSS) to assist individuals in living safely and successfully in their own homes or community-based residential settings. IRSS is designed to support individuals receiving Colorado HCBS services by promoting independence while ensuring health, safety, and daily stability.
Our goal is to help each person live as independently as possible while receiving the right level of support in a respectful and empowering environment.

What Are Individual Residential Services and Supports (IRSS)?
IRSS provides ongoing support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities in a residential setting. These services are person-centered and designed to promote independence, choice, and community integration.
Supports may be provided in an individual’s home or a supported living environment depending on their needs and waiver authorization.
Services We Provide
- Assistance with daily living activities (ADLs/IADLs)
- Support with meal preparation and nutrition
- Light housekeeping and home organization
- Medication reminders (as authorized)
- Goal-oriented support for independence and life skills
- Skill-building for independent living
- Support with personal hygiene and routines
- Safety supervision and wellness monitoring
- Assistance with community participation and appointments
All supports are delivered based on individual needs and approved service plans.
Who Can Receive IRSS?
Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver
Supported Living Services (SLS) Waiver
Children’s Extensive Support (CES) Waiver (when applicable)
Community First Choice (CFC/IHSS) (when authorized)
Services must be approved through a case management agency and included in the individual’s service plan.

Helpful Resources
Case Management Agencies (CMAs)
Case managers coordinate IRSS services and determine eligibility under the individual’s HCBS waiver.
Health First Colorado (Medicaid)
Medicaid funds approved IRSS services when included in the individual’s waiver service plan.
Community First Choice (CFC / IHSS)
DD Waiver: Supports individuals with developmental disabilities
SLS Waiver: Supports adults living in the community
CES Waiver: Supports children with developmental and medical/behavioral needs
CFC/IHSS: Supports independent living in the home and community
